7/9/2018 0 Comments Our Walking routeThis is our boy Zeus he is our 90 lb. mixed Labrador and he is 6 years old. Well this big one taught me a lesson. We take Zeus and Peanut for walks. My hubby walks Peanut and I walk Zeus.
Well, you must know they take their walks seriously! They are on a mission to move forward with a fast trot as if they are in a parade. They know the route. We could see from a distance a big dog and on the opposite end quite a ways from us men working with big trucks. For precaution we tried to avoid this and I stopped and Zeus kept moving forward with his 90 lbs of force. I said ""Stop" and he did but his stance in the same place moving forward! He hates to get pulled back he is on a mission. And moving sideways we'll that is not an option he doesn't like either. I have to get my hand and gently turn him, and say, "Come on let's go this way boy." Because he has a mission friends, he has a pace that he walks and moving forward is what he loves! I said out loud, "Geez this dog is stubborn!" At that moment I thought is this what I look like when I don't see the big plan God has for me? I think I have to keep moving forward, and if I don't we'll what have I accomplished? And going sideways well that is just going to take longer! Hehe who am I to talk? I have been stubborn many times in my life too. Work on my heart Lord for you know the plans and direction I have to go! We went for a longer beautiful walk and seen things we wouldn't have seen from our normal route! They loved their walk! That stubborn Zeus sure taught me a lesson. God knows all that is good for me. I can't see ahead, I need to stop, move and listen! For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
